The model for S-2-S is for the company to be involved in the development and production of projects from the ground-up: thereby securing both an artistic and financial interest for both the live stage and film/TV productions. By starting projects through the live theater, development costs are kept relatively low, the projects are pre-tested before live audiences and are positioned to develop critical and popular followings prior to the higher cost screen productions. Further, this model turns a financial cost into a potential asset by generating income from the development process itself, in the form of live theater box office revenue and royalty participation from future regional, stock, and other stage productions of the play.
